Working Together

Whether working as individuals or as part of a survey team, Britain's army of amateur naturalists provide most of the biological records used by government department and agencies, local authorities, NGOs, universities and museums for research, environmental planning and biodiversity monitoring. OHBR may be very small, but by working together with national institutions and voluntary organisations, the information we collect can make a difference.

We are committed to making our information available, to everyone whether through the National Biodiversity Network Gateway or the OHBR websites, and we encourage local residents and visitors to explore these resources and learn more about the wonderful wildlife of the islands of the outer seas.
